Toddler Time

There is a remarkable phenomenon that I have come to experience called toddler time. When in this zone you'll notice that time can move incredibly fast or as slow as a snail's pace, depending on what is going on. For example. We can be sitting down to dinner, and before I have even finished my scooping some rice onto my plate Elijah will have finished his meal in record time, looking at us like we're the crazy ones for not having even touched our peas yet. Or, we might need to be somewhere at 9AM. We can have been up since 6AM, but that doesn't matter because somehow, it is now 8:55 and we are nowhere near getting our coats on and headed out the door. Then there are the times when we're having a challenging day and a half an hour can feel like three hours have passed. I'm not yet quite used to running on toddler time, but am doing my best to take my cues from the master, Elijah.
I have also found myself slacking on taking pictures lately as I've been engaged in a lot of playing and rarely find myself thinking about taking pictures. So, I'll leave you all with a few pictures I snapped of Elijah the other day when I absent mindedly left my computer open when I went off to cook dinner. Perhaps he'll be taking over blog duties sometime soon...
